**PLEASE NOTE** This list of events is not in chronological order. So yeah. Sorry.
My FIRST EVER MITTEN!!!-I just made it today! It's a little too small for me, though. And there are some little holes around the thumb. Whatever. I'm too disappointed with it to make the second one just yet.
I don't know why, but I just randomly purled 11 stitches amidst a bajillion rows of stockinette. It's okay, though, because you have to felt your
FUZZYFEET!! I had to start over, like, a millabajillaquadrillion times...But I finally got one and, um, 4/5 done. I was making them for my mom's birthday, but I ran out of yarn when I got to the toe of the second one. Stinky. I've still got to get some more.
My dad wasn't home enough for us to do the knitting cabinet-organizer-lap desk-thingamajigger, so, instead, I made one wool sock and one cotton sock and compared them. YAY! The blue one is cotton, the other is wool. I only bought enough yarn for two socks, but for some reason, I only needed 1/2 of what I bought for the wool one! So I made its mate! The stripes don't line up, but whatever. I wish I had a picture of them together-they haven't met yet-but my Ag Tech teacher still has to grade the first one. They're a little too small for me-I was in a hurry to finish in time-so I'm giving them to my small-footed aunt for Christmas.

My first ever knit picks order came last week!I haven't done anything with it yet, but yesterday I started on a pair of cabled socks with the "African violet" (the purple stuff). I must say, it is a bit of a challenge-for me-to use the fingering-weight yarn, seeing as tight stitches+thin yarn+clumsy fingers=snarls of frustration. Still, it's knitting up pretty well and I am excited about it. I have to put it on hold for a little while, though, because we went to Hobby Lobby and Micheal's today and got yarn and needles (I don't feel like taking pics, but i got Peachs 'n' cream and Lion Wool-yeah, I know) for mittens and Fuzzyfeet for the grandmas and grandpas. I got a set of bamboo 10 1/2 dpns, and I am SO THRILLED b/c the circ was driving me INSANE!!! It got all bent up when I-and Cruzz-was knitting my

BOOGA BAG! I knit it at youth on Wednesday, the band concert on Thursday, and yesterday, when I stayed home from school b/c my mom thought I would get the flu like she and Taylor did...Anyhoo, I cast on 32 instead of 34 to begin with, and then I ran out of green yarn so I had to cast off 2 rounds early, and my i-cord is only 5 feet-the recommended length-when I stretch it out a little. And I had to cast off part of it-but not all!-with turquoise!! So wacky! I'm sure it'll turn out okay, though. Isabella and I taught Cruzz and Elisa how to knit on my booga bag while we were at the band concert (I also taught Emily how to knit, purl, and slip a stitch knitwise while I was working on my first fuzzyfeet (fuzzyfoot?), and then the wool sock). They were fighting over who got to knit it...So funny! Then, while our band was playing, Cruzz held it up to show me he was working on it. There was no way for me to stop him from the stage, so I just gave him a thumbs-up. But afterwards I found that he kept forgetting to slip off the stitches, so there are a bunch of really big stitches. I sewed the worst ones up with a tapestry needle, and I'm hoping the felting process will hide the rest.
Sorry that my phone-taken pics aren't very clear. But some were taken with the camera my mom got for her birthday-I'm sure you can pick those ones out:).
Well, I'm gonna go chill with my fuzzyfeet!
PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU!!!!!! COMMENT!!!!!!:1. How do you take care of bamboo needles? Will the ends get dull if I'm not careful?
2. I discovered today that I knit best when I am crying (don't ask). What mood do you knit best in?
3. Your choice of needles-DPN's or circs?
4. How do you keep little holes from developing around the thumbs on mittens?
